The past year has been unlike anything we could have envisioned. Some people who normally create annual vision boards are wondering if they should even bother this time.
How can we manifest our dreams when things are constantly changing?
Are vision boards still useful during times of uncertainty?
YES!
When you craft your vision board with what you’re wishing to manifest, it’s truly the deeper feeling behind those things that is key.
The feelings, such as ease, joy, and love, are more universal – and are always on point, uncertainty or not.
Creating a vision board allows you to focus on and empower your deepest visions, bringing them to life.

Here’s a list of the materials you’ll need:
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Paper or posterboard. We recommend using 12”x12” scrapbooking paper. This is an ideal paper to use because 1) the size is big enough to get your ideas on paper but not so huge as to be overwhelming and 2) it’s a good size to display on the wall or bulletin board and 3) when you make more vision boards, you can store the old ones in a scrapbooking album and have fun flipping back through to see all the dreams you’ve manifested!
- Magazines. Try to get ones that speak to the interests and lifestyle you’re aiming for – so travel magazines, home & garden, outdoor living, fashion if that’s your thing, lifestyle ones like O (Oprah’s publication) and Real Simple, Kripalu yoga retreat center catalogues, etc. You can often find stacks of good magazines at thrift stores, or ask your local friends and family to save them for you.
- Printed pictures. If you know there’s something very specific you want to include that might be hard to find randomly in a magazine (a specific make/model of car, a particular retreat center or spa you’d love to visit, etc.) then find them online and print them out ahead of time.
